3/21/26 Update:- CSS should be done! if you notice any weird colors or bad contrast please let me know!
- Changed the profile icon back to 65x65 bc it was causing UI issues
- Drew icons, logo, and a tiled background. The icons are just really quick doodles that I will maybe make nicer later..... (unless someone wants to draw them for me....... hint hint.....)
- Implemented a tagging system. Posts can now be tagged and tags can be browsed.
- Made a specific member permissions Group for NSFW, users cannot see 18+ channel by default and must toggle it on.
- changed "newbie" to novice because it is funnier.
- wrote crappy drafts for the rules threads. will make those better eventually.
- added a shorter, nicer user agreement before the big scary legal one on the account registration page
- created the option to assign yourself one of the four humors. for no reason.
- added two big text boxes to profiles. one for bio info and one for infodumping about OCs for RP purposes.
There's still a lot more work to be done but I daresay this forum is usable!!!

!!!UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!I am one person building this forum from scratch. (Well, a template.) it's a big undertaking that I am excited to do, but the Cloister Club could be way more fun with YOUR HELP.
What can you do?
- Report bugs or technical issues.
- Share things about the UI that you would like changed (everything is on default settings right now until I get time to look through them all)
- Suggest ideas for channels! The format of the forum is not set in stone.
- Contribute! I would love to get some help in making artistic assets for the site. Bonus points if you would like to help with the CSS. I am struggling with that part....
Most importantly, participate! Start threads, comment on other people's posts, and have fun! This is meant to be a community space, which means it is nothing without its users. By playing around on the site, you might discover gaps and things that could be improved.

EDIT:I have attached my sort of Vision board for a possible layout of the website once I have figured out the CSS. If anyone is interested, what I need are small icons for each discussion board, as well as a funny marginalia for the top of the page, and some decorative marginalia for the background. I can do these all myself, but it could be fun to include other people's art too :)
My most beautiful dream is to have each section themed to the topic, but that might be too much for now. I have also attached my beautiful dream.pngvisionboard1small.png
I also had to shrink them super tiny to upload them..... fixing file size limits is next on my list....
My suggestion is a meme channel and a music channel. For links to medieval music and bardcore and the like.

So wise. While I think meme threads can safely be tucked into the chit-chat channel, I will absolutely add a music channel :)

- Still working on the look of the website. I know some text boxes are black and unreadable. I am fighting for my life to find them in the CSS.

For the tiers, I think the first one should be oblate, then novice, then monk, and then dean, similar to the monastic hierarchy :)

the OBLATES!! how could i forget. i do not want to use monk bc i would like to keep the titles gender neutral. we can't forget about the ladies. but i like your suggestion the mystery will continue a little longer...
Instead of monk, we could do "monastics". That is a bit more gender neutral :)
